Enter individual food items or your own customized recipes – such as Grandma's Apple Pie – to find out how these items will impact you.
Easy to Understand - the "Battery" Concept
Each day, your batteries for Calories, Salt, Sugar, and Bad Fat start green at 100%. As you consume food during the day, they will turn yellow and then red to show that you are nearing your daily limit. The batteries for protein and fiber – only available to registered users – start at 0% and charge up to reach daily goals.
Eating Out - Search Capabilities

Today: My Batteries
Bon’App uses the simple concept of a battery charge to represent Calories, Sugar, Salt, and Bad Fat. The day starts with batteries charged GREEN, and as you consume food, the batteries deplete and turn YELLOW and then RED to show that you are near the daily limit. If you go over your daily-recommended allowance, the battery turns gray and then black.
In the case of Fiber and Protein, batteries are displayed as "charging" as you log foods that contain these nutrients. As you input your daily food, those batteries start RED and then move to YELLOW and turn GREENif you reach the daily-recommended level.
For registered users, Bon’App saves a list of recent food items so you can have easy access to them at any time and log them in your food journal.
Enter your creation in My Recipes and tell Bon’App how many portions or servings your recipe is created for. Bon’App calculates the level of Calories, Sugar, Salt, and Bad Fat based on the ingredients you input for your recipe. For example, if you've entered in Bon’App the recipe for your Grandma's Apple Pie for 12, Bon’App tells you how many Calories, Sugar, Salt and Bad Fat there is per portion.
